Thanks to #NationalLottery Players, We’re Breaking Barriers OF Hearing Loss

The Leslie Edwards Trust (LET) is absolutely thrilled to share that we’ve received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund! This amazing support will allow us to grow our work and reach even more people with hearing impairments across Leicestershire. Our project was made possible thanks to #NationalLottery players, whose generosity is helping us make a real difference.


At LET, we know how isolating life can feel when communication is a challenge. That’s why we provide lipreading and communication skills classes that empower individuals to connect with their loved ones and the wider community. With this funding, we’ll be able to offer more classes, develop new resources like digital materials and community events, and ensure that no one feels left behind.


This funding means we can bring our services to more local venues, making them even more accessible. It also allows us to expand our support to reach those who might have felt overlooked before. It’s not just a win for us—it’s a win for the entire community.
